Alice had found through not spending any of her time with Cassius, that she usually spent all of her time with Cassius. And right now she had all of nothing to do. Classes were winding down, since it was nearing the end of the year, so homework was non existant. Jerry had caught on to her ongoing…
Willow kept her eyes peeled wide open for Alice’s address. She kept muttering it under her breath like a mantra, over and over and over again. She wasn’t afraid of forgetting, her mind wasn’t that loopy, but she needed to focus. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been genuinely centered, focused. Moving to Cleveland hadn’t done much for her magic, or her confidence. The failed scrying session in front of Anita had proven that theory pretty well. Why couldn’t she be old reliable Willow the one time she really wanted to, the one time that it would really make a difference and help everyone?
She sighed; she was getting off track again. “Way to go, genius,” she muttered. “Just focus on the address. Focus.” Getting the necklace from Alice couldn’t be more important. Margaux was in trouble. Heaps of terrible, life-threatening, scary trouble and if they didn’t figure out what took her or where she was…but they would figure it out. She was going to figure it out and tell everyone and they would know just what to do. Everything was going to be just fine…
Willow stopped dead in her tracks. She recognized the addresses sure enough but even if she hadn’t the sight of an über petrified Alice staring at a fridge in her garage would have been a dead giveaway.
“Hey Alice,” she tried.
She took a step back when Alice jumped.
“Sorry. Didn’t mean to scare ya. Thanks for letting me come over here and get the,” Willow looked around to see if anyone was around, “the thing. You’re doing us a huge favor.” She tucked her hair behind her ears and took a breath. Gotta keep that rambling under control. She looked up at Alice. Something was off. Probably not evil off—hopefully not evil off—but the baby slayer definitely wasn’t all right. “Is everything okay, Alice?”
